For the ninth year, NMRMC named Best Places to Work in Healthcare


For the ninth year, Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas has been selected as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017 by Modern Healthcare magazine. It is the only Kansas facility to make the list.

“We take great pride in being ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare,” Dennis E. Franks, CEO said.

“For your hospital, it means a great deal.  It reflects our philosophy to Bring Excellence and Service Together ( B.E.S.T.).  It is more than a slogan, it is the way we provide care to our patients, support our coworkers and create a great place for physicians and providers,” Franks said.

The Best Places to Work in Healthcare list is published in non-rank, alphabetical order at Specific rankings will be announced live at the national awards ceremony in September with top placing organizations featured in the magazine.

Modern Healthcare describes the program as singling out outstanding employers on a national level.  Being included on the list helps recruiting and staff retention efforts.

In 2016, NMRMC also received the Millennials Award by the magazine when it placed #1 in the country by millennial employees (those men and women born after 1980). 

“We work very hard to create an environment of teamwork and patient focus.  The Millennial and Best Places to Work awards reflect the value we place on the employees of this hospital. 

As the largest critical access hospital in Kansas, Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center has over 450 staff members and registers and serves over 70,000 people each year through the hospital and its clinics. This summer NMRMC will finish phase two of a three phase construction project unveiling its new state-of-the-art Surgical Suites.
