NMRMC Ranks 21st in Best Places to Work in Healthcare

(Chanute, KS) (September 28, 2017)Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center received the 21st place on the Best Places to Work in Healthcare list for 2017 by Modern Healthcare magazine.  It is the ninth consecutive year that NMRMC has made the list representing the top 100 facilities nation-wide. 

“We work very hard to attract and retain the best employees. Each year, it is an honor and source of great pride for all of us at Neosho Memorial to be one of the top 100,” Dennis Franks, NMRMC CEO said. 

“Our chief nursing officer, Jennifer Newton, RN was also invited as a guest speaker at the conference.”

Newton addressed over 150 healthcare executives from across the U.S. on how to hire the best and brightest young professionals.  Last year, NMRMC received the first Millennial Award recognizing the hospital with the most engaged and satisfied group of millennials (people born between 1980 and 1995.)

“At Neosho Memorial, 52% of our workforce is from the millennial generation.  They are professionals who embrace technology, efficiency, and education,” Franks added.

“Combined with the expertise and knowledge of their co-workers, you have an award-winning team.”

Now in its tenth year, the Best Places to Work in Healthcare award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group in the assessment process which includes an extensive employee survey.
